Summary
DCI Barnaby and his assistant, Sergeant Dan Scott are called upon to solve a series of crimes in Midsomer County, England. Things that go bump in the night: A series of grisly murders casts suspicion on local spiritualists. Dead in the water: Barnaby and Scott investigate a murder at the Midsomer Regatta. Orchis fatalis: In an orchid-mad village, someone would kill to own a rare specimen. Bantling Boy: A man's bequest of his champion thoroughbred to four villagers leads to murder. Second sight: A mysterious death brings the detectives to Midsomer Mere, where villagers claim psychic powers. Hidden depths: An oenophile gets killed by a combination of catapult, croquet, and Chateu Lafite. Sauce for the goose: After a visitor dies at a relish factory, the detectives investigate the local food wars. Midsomer rhapsody: Barnaby links a local composer with odd events that crescendo to a killer coda
